Animals are living beings who do not speak ( recognized human languages ) and can not vote ( on laws that affect THEM ) therefore a humane approach to their welfare is needed because if man has "dominion" over all creatures then man should know all there is to know about his avian, four legged, finned and scaled neighbors if he ( man ) is to thrive and have a sustainable future.
